I wanted to use the analogy of multiple eggs representing muliple different galaxies or civilisations in the universe and have our small little planet in one of them, both representing our fragility and our insignificance among many.
I found an appropriate image of eggs online with one broken shell into which I placed another image of the Earth. I distorted the Earth image to match the egg yolk and used layer blending modes and masking to make it fit in a little better.
